National Poetry Month: With My Hands, a list poem

With My Hands

Washing dishes,
baking bread,
drafting stories
from my head,

painting pictures,
sketching doodles,
making pasta,
grooming poodles,

turning pages,
slicing peaches,
catching frogs
on sandy beaches,

hemming pants
and planting flowers,
building lofty
Lego towers,

writing letters,
stitching lines,
mending books
with broken spines,

giving five
and waving hi,
rolling crust
for apple pie,

All these things
I love to do
with my two hands.
Now, how 'bout you?
